The daughter of a Walt Disney Director, Producer and Animator, Laurie grew up immersed in bold color, whimsy, animal tales, fantasy, and magical story telling which is reflected in her unique art and the name of her business, Fantasia Mosaics, as her father was the Director of the Sorcerer's Apprentice.
She is a heartfelt collector of beads, findings, semi-precious stones, custom-made tiles, found objects, upcycled items, Washi Tapes, and fantastical cast offs which are transformed into the vivid chaos of her mixed media mosaics and handmade cards. She exhibits locally and throughout the United States and is happy to create commissioned works of art or custom greeting cards.
